The OV Process – Steps to Building your Future
Our build time is second to none! Currently, the timeframe between issue of building consent and completion of our standard plan homes is just five months! Unlike other build companies we don’t bite off more than we can chew. We guarantee our build times and dedicate ourselves to achieving them for our valued clients.
We provide weekly updates including photos so our clients are kept informed of progress and never need to chase us. With OV Homes, you are part of our family, not just another number You are dealing directly with the owners and their trusted team at all times.
1. Discovery Meeting
We meet with you at our central city office to discuss your wants and needs. We guide you through the new home process to ensure you are comfortable and address any questions you may have.
2. Financial Meeting
We have trusted professionals on hand to discuss your financial position and help you decide the best home option for you now, and into the future.
3. Choose your Property
We have a vast stock list of sections available for you to choose from. These are hand selected by our specialised team with one thing in mind…maximising your capital gains and future wealth. Together, we then pair that section with one of our house plan options.
4. Sign your contract
Sign your conditional fixed price contract and enter your due diligence period. During this time you will liaise with your solicitor, bank, accountant and/or any other trusted professionals you wish to consult. The contract remains unbinding during this time.
5. Confirm your Contract
Upon confirmation of your contract, you pay a 10% deposit which is held in our solicitor’s trust account until completion of your build and settlement. Your contract is now binding.
6. Build your Home
OV begins building your new home. We pride ourselves on our open communication and keep you fully informed throughout the process. You will receive progress updates and photos every step of the way.
7. Pre-Purchase Inspection
Upon completion of the build, you or your property manager will meet us for a walk through the property (prior to settlement) to ensure you are happy with the final finish.
8. Settlement & Handover
On the settlement date the balance owing is paid to our solicitors and we hand the keys to your brand new home over to you (or your tenants). It’s that simple! So what are you waiting for?
